The Day the Earth Stood Still

The day you asked me to marry you is the day the Earth stood still.
I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon.
We were both so young
Still in high school yet.
But you promised it was the truth.
That I was the one you wanted to be with forever and ever.
No other woman could take me place
In your caring heart.
You said you'd never let me go.
It is still true to this day.
You have me now and never will I leave.
